Brendan established the company in 1996 as a supplier of emergency and hazardous equipment. He completed his electrical apprenticeship and a post graduate programme at UCD went on to develop extensive managerial experience within the electrical industry and was a member of the leadership team in ABB before setting up Atex Limited in 1996.

Paul MurrayPaul Murray

Commercial Manager

Paul has worked as a senior manager with Atex Ltd since it was first established in 1996. He has extensive knowledge and experience within the electrical industry having worked with companies such as ASEA and ABB in senior positions prior to joining Atex Ltd.


John WalshJohn Walsh

Sales Manager

John joined the company in February 2016. John graduated from DIT in Electrical Engineering and is a seasoned professional with over 20 year's experience in the industry having most recently worked for the last 5 year's as Business Development Manager with Eaton.


Paul BlackPaul Black

Business Development Manager - Ireland

Paul graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical services engineering top of his class, receiving a CIBSE award of excellence from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2007. Paul’s professional experience includes over 16 years in the electronic engineering industry, working as a senior electronic engineer for companies such as: RPS, EEL, Fluor, Curley Smith Design Partnership , PM Group and M+W Group.

David MooreDavid Moore

David joined Atex in May 2017. David began his career as an Electrician and has accumulated over 10 year's of on site experience. David now professionalises in lighting,with over 20 year's experience in the Lighting industry having most recently worked as an Account manager with Eaton.


cColm Farrell 

Technical Manager

Colm graduated with a Bachelors degree from UCD and a postgraduate Masters degree from DCU in electronic engineering. He Holds 12 years both design and field experience in the lighting industry specialising in controls and testing protocols based systems.
